How do I use DeviantArt? Batch uploads?

So I THOUGHT I had just sat and uploaded about 30 pieces from a class last semester, and then none of them appeared in my gallery except the first image.
I have a large quantity of stuff to submit, and I'll be damned if I'm going to upload every single individual file- if that's the case, then I definitely won't bother with this site.
Anyone have any pointers? DA feels very unintuitive compared to like 7 years ago whenever I actually used it with any frequency... not that it was really intuitive to begin with.

While I liked leaving the slightly cryptic quote from a Talking Heads song as my journal, I think I might start using DA with some kind of productive intent.
I started school at Maine College of Art this fall ( http://www.meca.edu ), and the second half of my freshman year begins in about a week and a half. I don't know what I want to do thus far, and I subsequently don't know where an art education may take me, but it's all one step at a time and I figured maybe using DA as an outlet or something to post assignments I'm proud of or personal things might be good.
